Side 7
Phaser Head

The original name for this character was Scatter Brain and then I switched it to Phaser Head. This Neon Empire resident was apart of the original force that was used by Neon Empire against Robbin's Rest at an earlier event. A platoon of G-15 units were designed to fight off this new undead threat. Unfortunately, it was an utter failure and few robots survived the slaughter.

The surviving robots were scrapped and the G-15 units ceased to exist, except Phaser Head. So, in a sense he is a relic from the first encounter with Robbin's Rest's undead. G-15 were deemed unpractical against the undead due to their slow movement and stockpile of weaponry, and they were discontinued. With that being said, Phaser Head has a stockpile of countless weaponry that can level a small city.

Phaser Head is cool and collected. His personality exceed the usual Neon Empire residence, and he is very cocky in the heat of battle, casually throwing remarks in threatening situations. He could very well be the Robotic version of Hopkins. They have a friendly rival type relationship and seem to go back beyond the current mission. Phaser Head respects Hopkins ability to deal with Hamvitch, as they're both disgusted with him.

Phaser Head also collects rare oils as a hobby.

Mathew Hopkins

Hopkins has been pushed to the limits in his career. He is a retired vampire hunter. Although he doesn't act like it, Hopkins always has any situation under control and within his abilities. If not, he will backtrack and re-group until he can figure it out. He has been "hired"(more like forced at gunpoint) by Neon Empire to stomp out the undead threat.

His support crew is: Hamvitch, Phaser Head, and Bones(He will be revealed later)

Hopkins is a celebrity of sorts, due to having apprenticed under a legendary vampire hunter that could defeat undead with a simple crack of his whip. He has a common respect with Phaser Head. It should also be noted that Hopkins is in love with his axe, using it in the third person, kissing, and talking to it often. "Why would you ever need a woman, when you can have a piece of heaven at your hip?"

His weapon the "Neck Wrecker" has decapitated many ghastly zombies, werewolves, and vampires. Too many to count. Hamvitch and Phaser Head tease Hopkins for using such primitive weaponry to fight against the undead. Holy cross, stakes, garlic, etc. Little do they know these are ideal for fighting forsaken creatures.

Hopkins is designed off the famous witch hunter matthew hopkins. Hopkins has stayed true to his design one way or another. He was originally designed as leader of a group of thieves infiltrating Neon Empire. He could speak to animals and control them in combat and talked very little. I never used any of this and I dropped the concept. The original support crew can be found in Robbin's Rest just hanging around.

I also sketched out that Hopkins would use a giant chain cross whip, but I decided the axe was more appropriate.

Dr Gregory Hamvitch

A long time resident of Neon Empire with class A citizenship. This allows him to openly work in Neon Empire. Hamvitch is the director of Weapons Development in Neon Empire. Unlike most scientists who tinker and obsess over their work, Hamvitch is more involved with the finer things in life: exotic jewelry, the most expensive clothes, food, the creme de la creme.

In the circle of scientists human and robotic, there is a constant struggle of power for funding. Normally, Hamvitch would never be in the field, but somehow other scientists who have conspired to take his position have found a way to put him in Hopkins support unit.

Hamvitch is a weapons designer, so it should be noted that he will have nothing to do with robotics. You won't be seeing him repairing anything outside of a funky weapon. Hamvitch is overweight and an IQ of 299, he is constantly being talked down by Hopkins(Who can't stand him). In his younger years Hamvitch tried to amass his success as a tarot wizard but failed miserably.

Hamvitch is designed based off Palmer from Final Fantasy 7. Perhaps the most underrated character in the game.

Renders
Renders

Kitarians are a race of cat people who live all around Sal Sirra long before man. Renders is a Tarot Wizard prodigy who has mastered many useful elemental Tarot Spells. Kitarians by nature are skilled, proud, and strong willed creatures. Sadly, Renders hasn't inherited this ability. Despite being a powerful Tarot Wizard, he's a coward at heart. The only thing that keeps him him from running away is the skill of his comrades.

Renders looks down on everyone. He is critical and to the point, and often mocking people in the process. He thinks he's better than everyone else. Having this frame of mind has left Renders with few friends and many enemies. Still, he travels will Granin and Myth to face certain doom. Perhaps to overcome his fear of being a coward at heart.

Traveling to the capital of Sal Sirra to assist as a teacher for other Tarot Wizards. During this time the Slave Act was still fresh in the minds of many residents of Sal Sirra. Renders has faced many bitter and racist people due to this. Except Granin.

One night during a walk home, a group of thugs had pushed Renders into an alley with the intent on robbing him, or worse when Granin had accidentally stumbled out of a tavern drunk and right into the situation. Having Granin pass out in a family of garbage cans and causing a loud noise that alerted the town guard to investigate the situation and save Renders.

Granin and Renders have been friends ever since. Although, Granin doesn't remember any of it. Renders thinks of Granin as an equal if not better.

Lamberton Corp
Lamberton Corp. North Shore elite

A platoon of North Shore soldiers who died long ago. Revived to help Raddlefuse obtain the power of the Eternal King. These guys will get in your way and are the main force you'll be up against.

Lankin

The leader of Lamberton Corp. One of the first Recon Ninja to step foot on Sal Sirra soil. Died on the castle walls by grenade blast.

Breach

Lamberton Corp's scout specialist and an ex-member of an exclusive group of legendary investigators. Calculating all moves before hand, sadly he couldn't calculate the storm of arrow fire that killed him.

Killdread
The last member of Lamberton Corp to join before it's ultimate destruction. He's also the lowest rank and is often found scouting and grunt work with little pull. His maniac type attitude contributes to this. In his former life he was accused of overkill by burning down towns and murdering civilians

He was transferred to Lamberton Corp from North Shores regular army due to his mental stability.

Paper Doll
Lamberton Corps medic. Along with her medical skills she is a master manipulator with dolls. She is apparently more skilled than Lankin.

♥CAST♥

Granin Estell

Granin Estell is a failure of a Foot-Knight in every sense of the word. Granin always keeps his helmet on to impress the local children and tells them he has to wear it because of a brutal scar during a legendary battle. When in reality, he wears it to look cool.

After taking(and failing) countless tests to become a Foot-Knight, and endless gracious donations from his father, Granin finally obtained Foot-Knight statues. Which is the most standard of class for a Knight. One below Squire. Granin's dream has finally came true, and he was able to obtain his dream career as a town guard. Loving it, because it's the least amount of work and effort any Knight could have.

Family Tree

♦ Gavely Estell(Father). A retired Knight with an obnoxiously large ego.

♦ Rauna Estell(Mother). A songstress who often plays in the local theater. She's a regular celeberity and loves a good drink.

♦ Tybalt Estell(Brother). Granin's over achiving brother, Granin often spits on him from the family roof before he goes about his duties as a Knight.

♦Sasha Estell(Sister). Granin's sister, she herself finds it hard to live in a world where boys are heroes.

♦ Eric the Low. Not directly connected to the Estell family, but he has trained every generation of Knight. His only failure, is of course, Granin. He lives in on the Estell estate.

Granin's change of heart

Granin isn't the deepest thinker, infact he only thinks about himself and how his life revolves around himself. Polar opposites seem to attract, because that is what Granin's girlfriend is. They often sit on a special hill and talk about the downfall and rise of the current war between humanity and Neon Empire.

Granin's girlfriend, Sophia Reinholbert made a promise to the world. A vow to end the war, an epic quest. Being incredibly reluctant, Granin agree's to escort her in hopes she would quit and return home once she understood how the world works. Granin ends up dragging his best friend, Renders and the three set off for the ultimate adventure.

Auger D

Auger D is a Recon Ninja from North Shore. Like most, Auger D has came to Robbins Rest to end the curse that has a deathly hold over the town. Auger D is, as most ninja are, a mystery. Auger D pops in and out giving Granin and crew helpful advice in the most cynical of manner, but he seems like one of the more friendlier type of ninja. He seems to have a deeper connection to Robbins Rest.

Auger D has his own agenda, and although he might not welcome the party with open arms, he does his best to help. He's just like every other ridiculous character in Robbins Rest trying to end the curse and make a name for himself. Maybe?

Recon Ninja

Auger D is a Recon Ninja that are originated from a large island owned by a shipping company called North Shore. While Sal Sira adopted Shield and Buckle Ninjas, Recon Ninjas are used to scout out and usually not an offensive type.

Roach

Roach is a zombie who was "unintentionally"buried in a military burial ground for North Shore Elite. When the Tarot-Mancer revives them he's also revived. Not too keen on the whole "take over the world" thing, he refuses to comply with the events taking place. The Tarot-Mancer ends up feeding Roach to a giant undead worm.

In his former life, Roach, despite his appearance is a deep thinker and a philosopher for the most part. His design is based off 80's English Punk Rockers. He has an assortment of incredibly weird moves spanning from shooting lazer beams out of his mouth to a cannon made out of crossbones.

-The Antagonists of Rainbow Nightmare-

-Raddlefuse Del Embargo-

The leader of operations, Raddlefuse is a rare class that can sustain his life through frowned upon research. And the main Villain of Rainbow Nightmare. Research of this sort has been highly banned in Sal Sirra and these people are called Tarot Mancers. There is a growing number of cult followings revolving around the research of re-animating the dead. Most of these groups operate in a Island trading company called NorthShore.

Raddlefuse has been researching Robbin's Rest's curse and has hired a unit to navigate through the maze like castle where the Eternal King is supposedly buried. Raddlefuse is a high ranking member of the Tarot Mancer cult, and it's rumored that he's made a deal with some demi-god to slow down his aging. It's speculated he's 150 years old. Raddlefuse has spent 10 years in NorthShores prison facility after being caught stealing information regarding ancient gods.

Raddlefuse has also been rumored to have a worldly ability to summon a large number of undead.

-Mr. Meer-

A race living under Sal Siraa for thousands of years. Meer people keep to themselves. They prefer to keep themselves far away from the human race. Occasionally meer people will travel outside of their villages to explore the outer world.

Mr. Meer set to travel to Sal Siraa to become a Shield Ninja. NorthShore has 0 restrictions for who can join their military, unlike Sal Siraa's royalty. Strangely, Mr. Meer often has maggots falling out of his boots and reeks of death...

Clearly I haven't written too much about Mr. Meer, but he looks pretty cool. Originally I had a different character that I planned to use, but he just came out so boring that I decided to use something more interesting. I think the hunchback one eyed creature is a lot more appealing.

-Statz-

A silent killer. The product of extensive training as a Buckle Ninja.(under construction.)

-Professor Cobblepot-

An ex-resident of Neon Empire. Originally created to be a data collecting robot. He's the leading source of information when it comes to the paranormal. Professor Cobblepot has been researching and chronicling all paranormal activity in Sal Siraa. Neon Empire has a strict law against socializing with creatures without the proper authorization. Eventually the Professor was caught stealing large amounts of funds for his outlandish expeditions to the most remote places.

Cobblepot is currently being held in Neon Empires maximum security wing. He's been found guilty for smuggling information and using unauthorized funds. He's set to be dismantled.

This is my favorite character out of the group so far. I really think his design is fun and the colors are totally goofy all the way up to his bowtie. He's going to be a important support character for both parties, and I have a lot written for him. My two inspirations for this character is from the Lost in Space robot, and The Return to Oz character Tic-Toc. It's a more mobile version. I haven't really decided on what kind of personality or mannerisms I'm going to give him yet though.

♥RAINBOW NIGHTMARE: SHORT STORIES♥

Smoking his exotic cigar he peers to the edge of the
wall. The figure touched the wall and rubbed his finger
across the ancient runes crafted from the robot
architects of ages past. A Robot Paradise. As I peered, I
wiped the crust from my lips from the cigar which was
imported from North Shores finest.

Humans were slaving away on the lower platform
constructing some kind of Robot Idol in the center
of the area. Surrounding the slaves were robot security
with electric batons beating them systematically. I
spit in disgust. As I looked on above the platform of
workers I saw it, a spiral of death, a tower made out
of exotic metal.

I flicked my cigar in no
particular direction and it slid into
it's new home, a pile of garbage. A small fire started to
burn. I smiled. Wrapping myself in my coat I made my
way to my own death

"Neon Empire" I whispered...

I just wrote that so people would get interested. It's actually pretty awful writing. Which is the point. Okay, so if you're clicking this blog, you're looking at RAINBOW NIGHTMARE SHORT STORIES! Which in essence is a bunch of short stories I've written that are put and tied into one game. I plan to update this once a week, sooo- if you're interested in this stuff, stay tuned.
